As scheduled, the 2022/2023 Ghana Premier league winners, Kotoko were expected to begin their pre-season on Monday but the players reportedly refused to report to the pre-season training camp due to salaries and bonuses arrears.
The 2021/2022 Ghana Premier league winners were expected to begin their pre-season training on Monday, 8th august, 2022. This was scheduled at the club’s training ground at Adako Jachie in Kumasi. This was to prepare the team for then 2022/2023 Ghana Premier League football season and also build up for their mission at the continental level.

There is no strong report yet to confirm this.
The players seemed not to report to the training camp to prepare for the season if they do not receive the remaining two months’ salary.
Other reports clarifying that the Club CEO and his management will meet these players to do the needful. This is expected to happen on Tuesday, 9th August, 2022.
