Afriyie Barnieh and Danlad called to represent Ghana at Qatar 2022

Daniel Afriyie Barnieh of Accra Hearts Of Oak and Danlad Ibrahim of Asante Kotoko make the Black Stars squad for Qatar 2022.

After a series of calls from Ghanaians for the inclusion of locally based players into the Black Stars for the world cup, Barnieh and Danlad get the nod.

Afriyie Barnieh whose call up didn’t come as a major shock to most Ghanaians joins the other 25 players for the mundial.

The Hearts Of Oak striker and former captain of the Ghana national U-20 team has been part of the national team for some time now.

Danlad Ibrahim on the other was reported to have been dropped from the 55 players formerly named by coach Otto Addo but injury to first choice shotstopper Jojo Wollacott and Richard Ofori leaves Otto Addo with no other option than to include the Kotoko goalkeeper in the squad.

Danlad who has represented Ghana on every level now has the chance to also make it into the senior national team.
